Southern Outlaw Competitors New rules for our 2021 Season There will be a $200.00 Protest . Top 5 in the Feature can be protested by anyone on the lead lap. Driver protesting must not leave the track (Doesn't have to have the cash ) to protest but before Teching the protested car Money has to be given to SOLMS official.Protesting Party will be able to watch complete Teching of protested car including going across scales looking a chip or dial watching any weigh required to be in front of motor plate to be weighed and yes a tear down rule any competitor running a 8000 Chip can be tore down to check Bore
Remember 4.070 is the Biggest Bore you can have with this chip.
The $200.00 Dollars goes to the legal Car Or back to Protester
If Competitor that gets Protested agrees that they are illegal the will only lose Money and Points that night
But if we have to go thru with the protest and the competitor is illegal they will lose all points earned in our series
We will run 30 lap feature unless we have 5 Cautions then race will be shortened to 20 Laps

*Shock Packages are expensive enough, these aren't allowed*
Other than spring dampening by the shock absorber, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrically controlled adjusting devices, (static or dynamic) that affect spring preload or race car heights will not be permitted.
All rear suspension radius rods must be of a fixed length. No hydraulic cylinders, torsion bars, bump rods, spring rods, slider rods or shock-type radius rods are permitted.
Engine Packages
Any 23* head legal.(LS heads are legal)
Roller Cams are legal
No dry sumps allowed at all
No aluminum blocks
Rev Limitations
7000 chip for a crate motor,
7400 for any engine with a bore bigger than 4.070,
8000 for any engine with a bore of 4.070 or smaller.

Pre-race tech, must be passed before taking starting spot in heat race.We will be checking:

Tires/Hoosier
Block/Steel
Rear Spoiler Must Be the correct dimensions.
Rear Spoiler cannot be wider than 72in
No deck height taller than 39"
Oil Pans/No dry sumps
Chips, all chips/dials must be easy to read by tech
Weight

Chips 7000 legal crates 7400 blocks with bore size bigger than 4.070
8000 blocks with bore size no bigger than 4.070
Raceceivers are MANDATORY Channel: 454.000
10 Lap Heats (Unless too many cautions, then will be shortened to 8 laps)
30 Lap Feature (Unless too many cautions, then will be shortened to 20 laps)
If we see contact and there is a yellow, both or all parties making contact will go to the rear.
If you spin to avoid contact and do not make contact, you will get your spot back.
Rough driving will result in a dq
We will restart all races single-file.
We will not wait on a flat tire to be changed in a heat race.
Top 3 cars in the heat, goes to tech, failure to do so will result in dq.
Top 5 in the feature will go to tech, failure to do so will result in dq.
Running order will be determined by the track, you will be notified asap.
Anyone bringing out two cautions will be asked to leave the track.
To get start money, you must take the first green flag on the feature.
